A big mama cheer!

E_sitting.jpgE’s sitting!!! All by herself!! Hurray for E!

I’m very excited! Being the second child she only receives half the attention (if not less, as M is very time consuming) and I was starting to worry about her being a little on the slow side as I’m not nurturing her the same way we did with M. But here’s the prove she’s just as clever as her big sister.E_sitting2.jpg

I feel like saying something really meaningful on this occasion but as I’m not very poetical mayself I’ll have to borrow a few lines here from a very nice little book:

The baby sits.

The baby sits

with a cushion there to catch her

’cause she sways and leans and wobbles a bit,

and she waves her hands at shadows

and her sunhat tips

but the baby sits.

wie schön, dass ich an allem so teilhaben kann, jeden morgen das neueste vom heutigen Tag.

  2. ohh yippy!!! soon crawling and before you turn around running!! what a cutie too

  3. Haddock says:

Congrats to you and E. Some kids with sitting, crawling, walking & talking just take their time. No need to worry :)

  4. christina says:

Aww, she’s so sweet. Both of mine took ages to sit and crawl and walk, but the younger one was actually faster than the older one.

Andrea: I probably shouldn’t want her to get moving any time soon, everybody says how it’s sooo much more stressful having two running around… oh well ;-)

haddock: Thanks! Yeah I know I shouldn’t worry and apparently with Nr.2 you’re supposed to be so much more laid back, but maybe that’s just a reflection on me not being a very laid back person. Hmm??

Chrisina: I had heard that lots that the younger ones might do things earlier than the first child. Our neighbour’s 3rd child was walking at 9 months, now that sounds really scary to me and I know it really doesn’t matter when they achieve those sort of milestones but as a mother well I hope there’s some sort of hormone to excuse my behaviour :-)

She is such a cutie!! Every kid moves at their own pace and is different, special and interesting… that’s why you had two, right?

  7. franzie says:

two … or a few more, I don’t think we’re quite done yet. They’re so much fun and yes, as you said, so different and totally special in their own way that we might have one or two more. Who knows??
